ELIGIBILITY FOR ALL INDIA BAR EXAMINATION

A candidate must have passed 3 years or 5 years law examinations. It must be noted that there is no minimum percentage require in graduation to appear in the All India bar examination only when he/she secured the minimum percentage for graduation & any other requirements for graduation prescribed by the university he/she is studying at.

How To Crack CLAT Exam 2018

CLAT Participating Institutes –The law colleges which will be participating in the Common Law Admission Test accepting CLAT 2018 scores. The CLAT participating institutes 2018 include as many as 18 National Law Universities (NLUs) and other private colleges offering law programmes at both undergraduate and postgraduate programmes.

CLAT Eligibility

CLAT 2018 eligibility criteria will define the minimum qualification requirement, percentage of marks and age criteria to appear in the CLAT exam. The eligibility for undergraduate and postgraduate law courses is given below:

For UG Courses:

• Age Criteria: The upper age limit of the candidate should not be more than 20 years as on 1st July 2018 (for unreserved category candidates/NRIs/NRI Sponsored candidates) and 22 years for SC/ST/OBC/SAP category candidates.
• Qualification Eligibility: The candidate will be considered eligible for CLAT if he/she has passed the 12th examination with minimum 45% marks (40% for SC/ST candidates).
• Candidates appearing the 12th examination in March/April will also be eligible for CLAT 2018. Such candidates have to produce the proof of passing the qualifying examination at the time of admission.

For PG Courses:

• Qualifying Examination: The prescribed qualification for LL.M. is LL.B./Five-Year Integrated LL.B. (Hons.)/ any other equivalent exam.
• Minimum Marks: Minimum percentage of marks in qualifying examination should be 55% for unreserved /OBC/Specially Abled Persons (SAP). In case of SC/ST, the minimum marks would be 50%.
• Final semester/final year examination appearing candidates may also apply.
• Age Limit: No prescribed maximum age limit for PG courses.

CLAT 2018 Exam Pattern

The paper-pattern for CLAT UG and PG courses is given below:

For UG Courses:

• Courses: The online examination of CLAT will be held for integrated UG law courses.
• Mode of Examination: Exam will be held in online mode (computer Based Test).
• Type of Questions: Only objective type questions of maximum 200 marks will be asked from each subject areas.
• Exam Duration: The duration of CLAT exam will be 2 hours.
• Question Paper Medium: The language of question paper will be English only.
• Marking Scheme: Each right answer will be awarded with 1 mark.
• Negative Marking: There is a system of negative marking. 0.25 mark will be subtracted for each wrong answer.
